I needed a wood plug 3/8" Diameter to fill the trus rod holes in the same kind of wood as the back filling strip
(African curly MAKORE in this case, same piece of wood as I used to build my 300B monobloc Hifi amp)
and since I don't have a lathe, I "improvised" this turning on my drill press.
IMPORTANT : For SAFETY reasons don't do this unless your drill speed is set to low RPM, I told you !

Now the Truss Rod is ready for installation.
The end of the rod have been file with a flat that will lock in the wooden plug with epoxy glue.
I used stainless steel 10/32 threaded rod and a lock nut (file round to slip fit in the 3/8" D. hole).

Ready for fret slotting

I'm using again my "JO" block set to move the neck in the mitter box with very high accuracy,
I do both neck in the same "set-up".

Here I'm sawing the slot of fret # 5 at 6.397" from the nut. I'm using StewMac free fret calculator :
http://www.stewmac.com/FretCalculator to find out the frets distance from the nut,
here the results for a typical Fender fret scale of 25.5" :
